Office 2007 And Windows Firewall

There is a bug with Outlook 2007 and Windows XP(haven't seen it in Vista yet, but it can exist there).  The error is that outlook appears to not connect to the exchange server that the program has been set up with.  This can be fixed.  Its a pretty simple fix, actually.  And here it is. Close Outlook if it is already open Open the windows firewall settings Turn off the windows firewall Open outlook.  If outlook still doesn't connect to the exchange server then close it again. Open the mail Control Panel settings Remove the current outlook profile Open Outlook Name the new profile and set up your outlook account The program should now sync with your exchange account.  Once it does that, open the firewall settings again and turn your firewall back on.  If you already have an exception created in the firewall, nothing more is needed.  If you don't have an excepti...
