In Thailand is not very easy to get a loan at all if you from another country. You might try secured loans if your wife is Thai and she has a house or land something to put in as collateral.
You can just forget about personal loans if you not have a work permit, my friend worked for two years now and he got his first AMEX card but he still can not get a loan in the bank.
If you want to make sure you get loans or some money to spend in Thailand get the money before you leave Thailand. Borrow them from the bank outside Thailand but off course you can not tell them you moving here then they will deny you the loan.
