Saw the news last night about the Swedish girl that got murdered on a beach in Phuket. Really sad that 10 guys have to stand around here and look at her and show her dead body to the “press”. I am sure some of this people have no press id and just going to collect the photo for the website or something like that.
The Thai Police and medical staff really have to start treating people with respect even if they are dead not to talk about evidence. How many hands have touched her body before the forensic arrives?
I am sure the rescue staff that volunteer have done a great deal for the Thai country but they have nothing to do in a morgue opening up the white sheets the Swedish girl was wrapped in.

A Swedish Charter Tourist has been murdered on a beach on the beach of Mai Khao Phuket – Thailand.
The 27 year old Swedish girl was on holiday and went out from her bungalow on the Saturday morning, when she did not come back the friends went looking for her. They later found her “stabbed” on the beach.
Thailand have for long been a safe haven for tourist and visitors but people think this is about to change when Thailand is changing to a more capitalistic society.

For all people having companies in Thailand the new government law that will be approved from July 2008 will come as a relief. From then you only have to have three people owning stocks in a company instead of the seven before.
No one knows really why it was as many as seven before but I am sure most people farang and Thais are very happy that it is now three.
Before when you opened a company in Thailand as a farang you had to find seven Thai people that you could trust or at least your lawyer had to find seven for you.

When picturing a national park, most of us probably think of rangers that help to protect the wildlife and answer visitors questions about the surrounding area and the flora and fauna that reside there. As you get farther and farther from the main tourist tracks in the world, the standard and definition of national parks changes dramatically.
In Mauritania there is a park called "Banc d'Arguin National Park." It is a World Heritage Site, and like many other World Heritage sites we have visited on our journey, it has a long way to go before one could call it protected. We ran into a deal that sounded too good to be true on Sitepoint a few days ago. Some naughty person was selling information for an “exclusive” PR9 .EDU forum he had found online for “just” $50. We took the bait and figured we’d have a look at this deal.
Guess what? When we said too good to be true, we we’re right. Sure, the main URL might be a PR9 (although showing up as a PR8 in SEO for Firefox), but all the threads are way lower in PR, pretty much useless.
We kindly asked for a refund because we couldn’t and haven’t used this info, and the naughty seller, Mr NETGURU2525 keeps coming up with excuses NOT to pay us back our $50. Sigh, guess he must have really needed it, poor guy. We do feel a little sorry for him - having to resort to petty theft online to improve his undoubtedly miserable quality of life. Probably lost all his money gambling.
