I find that most people do not understand how money and credit work, how it came to be, and why the economy functions as it does. These are basic concepts that aren't really taught in school. It's amazing that when you try to explain these things to people, their eyes glaze over and they are not interested, despite the fact that virtually everyone living in a capitalist society has to handle some form of money.
I think most people would be amazed if they found out that banks create money out of "thin air", most would even disbelieve the concept. Banks create money out of debt. When you go to take a loan from a bank, you are not borrowing on someone else's savings, the bank is basically printing the money on demand. Our economy survives because people are in debt. If all debt were to be repaid, there would be virtually no money left. It boggles the mind.

Again, and Again and Again and Again.... Google is a real GIANT, this doesn't mean I am obsessed but this is a fact after reading their Q4 results for 2007. Not only they are doing money, but always more money, giving you the chance to make part of this money but they are doing the big part, at least they are having one of the best online advertising mediums. And not only money, Google today entered the world top 20 brands where Coca-Cola is still the number one brand in the world but they will step up for Google in the next 5 years if this Giant continues this invasion. Home loan repayments are set to soar as rampant economic growth might force two mortgage interest rate rises within six months, pushing up mortgage repayments, economists said yesterday.
They said the central bank might lift official interest rates to a peak of 7 per cent, which could take the average variable mortgage rate from 7.75 per cent to 8.25 per cent and increase the average household's monthly repayment by about $100.
The Reserve Bank of Australia's decision on a potential interest rate rise next month to 6.75 per cent hinges on the September inflation figures due out on Wednesday.
The timing of the next interest rate rise is a hot-button issue in the federal election campaign. Most economists now say rates will definitely rise; it is just a question of when.

I got a tip from a member on the DP forum how to make more money with YouTube. Since I can not join the Video on Adsense because I am not American I guess I have to use YouTube to something else.
Step 1
Register with a CPA (click Per Action) network like Copeac, Azoogle, Millnicmedia and sign up for a free phone offer that’s easy enough.
Step 2
Go to YouTube and search for any video with a nice phone in the video advertising or something for a phone. Try to avoid Nokia phone battery taking fire videos.
Step 3
Go to Download YouTube site like www.tubeworks.info and download the video to your computer.
Step 4
Use any video converter and editor and add your affiliate link to the CPA network.

Oversaes property investors are pouring their spare cash into Queensland, Australia's 'Sunshine State', spending more than $1 billion on Queensland real estate last year.
The property drive has resulted in 1.29 million hectares of land in 22,046 parcels being owned by people from 132 countries, with investment jumping from $1.6 billion in 2005-06 to $2.6billion last year.
But Natural Resources Minister Craig Wallace said foreign ownership represented only 0.75 per cent of the state - down from 1.8 per cent a decade ago when foreign ownership of Queensland was at its height.
Buyers from Britain led the purchase pack last year, spending $252 million, followed by New Zealand ($141.9 million), Japan ($86.1 million), The Netherlands ($75.5 million) and the US ($54.8million).

Housing affordability took another hit as house prices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide rose sharply in the third quarter of 2007, raising affordability issues for these cities, Westpac says.
In a paper published yesterday, the bank's senior economist Andrew Hanlon says the latest data shows Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide had the fastest annual house price growth since 2002-04.
Mr Hanlon says house prices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide looked to be rising by 18.9, 18.6 and 16.7 per cent respectively this year.
Sydney was hit by an "affordability crunch'' in late 2003 and Perth house prices reached a similar point in late 2006.
The bank says Perth suffered a significantly larger deterioration in affordability than Sydney, when its house prices doubled in three years.

Economists say another interest rate rise is possible in November, as the United States economy retreats from the edge of a recession.
Stronger than expected jobs growth saw shares on Wall Street rally last Friday, and gave analysts good reason to reassess their gloomy outlook for the US economy.
But that positive news for the US may prompt the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) to push the official cash rate to 6.75 per cent at the November board meeting.
Had recent US jobs data not been so strong, the RBA's options for increasing interest rates and curbing Australian inflation would be more limited.
Economists say the overall health of the global economy, and inflation figures due in late October, will be strong points of consideration for the Reserve Bank at the November meeting on Melbourne Cup day.

Problem getting money from Clickbank
