The 10th annual Webby Awards have been announced and everyone’s favorite console website xbox.com has earned itself a nomination for the best community section. Xbox.com seemed like a prime candidate for the nomination. Even though the site has some stiff competition maybe a community of gamers could make some ground on the entire Internet community. Congrats to Microsoft and the Xbox.com team on all their hard effort on the site. With features such as interactive xbox live friend lists, info on every xbox and xbox 360 game, list of achievements that users can compare to other users, and a very large forum gamers could spend hours looking at everything Xbox.com has to offer.

The arrival of Apple-made software that makes it possible to run Windows XP natively on Intel-based Macs poses as many challenges to Mac game publishers as it does opportunities. But the game makers Macworld spoke to focused on the boost that Boot Camp potentially brings to the Mac gaming market.

Namco Bandai was present at the conference and announced that its long awaited Culdcept Saga will launch exclusively on Xbox 360, more info is expected April 14th.

A federal judge in Detroit struck down a state law banning the sale or dissemination of ultra-violent video games to minors, bringing joy to the hearts of gamers and disappointment to those who believe the games are bad for children.
"If the law had gone into effect and enforced the way it was worded, it would have put most gaming centers out of business," said Josh Williams, 25, manager of Digital Ops gaming center in Ann Arbor, where customers pay $5 an hour to play.
Even though his center and many others already screen out the most violent games, he said the law was worded too broadly for centers to know which games were illegal. He also said the law would have applied to minors who watch adults play.

The demo for GRAW is finally set to hit the marketplace today for download. However many fans of the GR series wasted no time nor needed a demo to know they wanted GRAW. The demo was once rumored to release the week before GRAW actually shipped to retail, that never happened. The game has been available for a few weeks now, and has been well received. However some gamers prefer a test drive before they buy, and now they have the chance. Microsoft's Xbox 360 has racked up the best debut ever for a console platform in Australia, with over 30,000 units of the system selling through in the four days following its March 23rd launch. That's according to figures from market analyst GfK, which reports that around 10,000 consoles sold at the midnight launch on March 23rd, followed by an additional 20,000 units in the following days.
The totals put the Xbox 360 at the top of the launch sales league table in the region - the former record holder was Sony's PlayStation Portable, which sold through 27,000 units in a comparable period of time.
However, it's not clear whether all of the pre-orders taken for the Xbox 360 in Australia have yet been met - Microsoft's Xbox chief in the region, David McLean, had previously told local publication AustralianIT that pre-orders were running at around 45,000 units.
