Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Saturday, 25 August 2007
After ONE LETTER of complaint from alleged Muslims, "Live Prayer with Bill Keller" is dead in the water, forced off the air by CBS. Muslims Are Better Than Christ and Christian-Americans! CAIR-Tampa? A New Caliphate
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Saturday, 04 August 2007
“Given the current climate of suspicion and fear we feel that now more than ever people need to try to understand these legitimate political aspirations for the Muslim world, rather than simply falling for the reductionist Manichean arguments that paints everyone who seeks Islamic change in the Muslim world as extremists or supporters of terrorism.” The conference will commence at 11 a.m. on Saturday 4th August 2007 and will end at 7.p.m. The venue is Alexandra Palace , Alexandra Palace Way, Wood Green, London , N22 7AY . Dozens to Attend Conference Doomed to failure, the Muslim clergy must expend tremendous energy daily to KEEP THE Muslim rank-and-file from learning about the Coming of Baha'u'llah, the One promised by Muhammad, Jesus, Buddha, Ezekiel, Isaiah and others. Muslim clergy must (and that 'must' is an almost absolute requirement) keep Muslims ignorant of The Glo...Write Comment (0 Comments)

How To Bankrupt a State in One Easy Step
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Tuesday, 31 July 2007
SB 840, a bill that would establish a single-payer healthcare plan for California, finds exciting new ways to bankrupt the state - at the taxpayers' expense! But this time, the taxpayers won't pay JUST in dollars, but in healthcare - when the broad eligibility requirements practically guarantee that the system supports far more than just legal California residents (all emphasis added): 140400. All California residents shall be eligible for the system. Residency shall be based upon physical presence in the state with the intent to reside. The commissioner shall establish standards and a simplified procedure to demonstrate proof of residency. 140401. The commissioner shall establish a procedure to enroll eligible residents and provide each eligible individual with identification that can be used by health care providers to determine eligibility for services. 140402. Putting Gaza Into Perspective
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Thursday, 26 July 2007
“Unless the crossings are open for imports and exports, the downward economic spiral will lead to extensive hardship for an already impoverished Gaza Strip.” “Unless the residents of the area make it clear that they will no longer accept the terror and tyranny of their duly elected leadership, the downward economic spiral will lead to extensive hardship for an already impoverished Gaza Strip.” “Unless Hamas releases its hold on the area, the downward economic spiral will lead to extensive hardship for an already impoverished Gaza Strip.” “Unless Iran and Syria stop arming and training the terrorists who run the area, the downward economic spiral will lead to extensive hardship for an already impoverished Gaza Strip.” “Unless the Arab nations embrace their defeated partisans and put an end to the "Palestinian refugee problem", the downward economic spira...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Censorship, Riots and Thailand
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Wednesday, 25 July 2007
Thai Riots Coming a few days after a history-making hack of Thailand's governmental electronic-barrier censoring YouTUBE for having ONE disrespectful video of the king there, ("Take your dictatorship and shove it! Give us back our Thai democracy!") about 12,000 Thais rallied to protest government misbehaviour, then marched on ex-Prime Minister Prem Tinsulanond's home in Bangkok. Then, about half the demonstrators left and the other half danced with the riot police for 3 hours, dispersing very shortly before midnight, having expressed their displeasure very vocally and somewhat violently. (173 rioters injured, 17 police injured and 43 bystanders injured. No deaths.) "There's something happenin' here... What it is, ain't exactly clear..." AND THEY'RE OFF!!!
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Tuesday, 24 July 2007
Cindy Sheehan has announced her run for Pelosi's seat in the House: "The Democrats will not hold this administration accountable, so we have to hold the Democrats accountable," Sheehan said outside Conyers' office after the meeting. "And I for one am going to step up to the plate and run against Nancy Pelosi." And her first step towards this goal was...to break the law: Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan was arrested Monday at the Capitol for disorderly conduct, shortly after saying she would run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over the California Democrat's refusal to try to impeach President Bush. Interesting strategy, Cindy. Write Comment (0 Comments)

Does Congress not make sense? or is it just me?
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Saturday, 21 July 2007
Today I took part in a discussion about a lefty article basically accusing the U.S. military of breeding serial killers and rapists. The discussion was on the very entertaining site Ace of Spades HQ. Ace links to the original article, so I won't. Also, THIS post is not about that lefty article, it's about one of the commenters on that lefty article. Here's what I posted in the comments on AOSHQ: I think this comment at the site hosting this article sums up the moonbat problem very well: "I find all of this information to be extremely alarming, and I agree with you. I don't see how people can argue that military training doesn't produce killers. That's what it's designed to do. What do people think the military is for? To protect our country, yes, and in doing so, killing for it. It's really as simple as that." They never look below the surface. They can't be bothered to...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Disarmed by the Dems - Congressional leaders fail to protect terror tipsters from insane lawsuits
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Saturday, 21 July 2007
By DEBRA BURLINGAME (Burlingame, a director of the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation, is the sister of Charles Burlingame 3rd, the pilot of American Airlines flight 77, which was crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.) Friday, July 20th 2007, 4:00 AM He's your son, riding a commuter train to work. Your daughter, taking the subway to go shopping downtown. Your grandparent, boarding an airplane at JFK en route to a family reunion. Your husband or wife, working anywhere in America. John Doe is you. Me. All of us. And he's in trouble. Yesterday, members of Congress met in conference to finalize provisions of the 9/11 security bill, which implements the final recommendations of the 9/11 Commission. But as of press time, the Democratic majority was using a technicality to block the so-called John Doe amendment from being included in the bill. The amendment, which prote...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Here is what makes PMI so important
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Sunday, 15 July 2007
#1: A Rasmussen Reports survey on perceptions of media bias found that Americans tend to believe that the New York Times, Washington Post, and their local newspaper all show a bias in favor of liberals. A plurality believes that the Wall Street Journal delivers the news without bias. #2: By a 39% to 20% margin, American adults believe that the three major broadcast networks deliver news with a bias in favor of liberals. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 25% believe that ABC, CBS, and NBC deliver the news without any bias. Be careful what you wish for - this Democratic strategy could backfire!...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Introducing...Engram at Back Talk
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Wednesday, 11 July 2007
The internet is a big place. A big BIG place. No one could ever see everything it has to offer. If I may, I'd like to point you towards a blog I recently discovered so that you don't miss this particular drop in the ocean . The author purports to be a university professor, Democrat, and liberal who admits to being "a conservative relative to the large majority of my collegues." Regardless of his politics, his posts are thoughtful, well-written, and very insightful. For example, today's post: A Tale of Two Letters "While the Democrats steadfastly maintain an eerie code of silence on the issue of al Qaeda in Iraq (more on that at the end of my post), and while the New York Times tries to help them out by seeking novel ways to deliberately downplay the al Qaeda threat in Iraq (see my post about that here), everyone else should try to base their understanding of what ...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Benchmark: Perspective and Inspiration
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Tuesday, 10 July 2007
On this day, July 9, 1850, the One Whose coming had been prophesied by no lesser a person than Jesus of Nazareth (Matt 24:14, Luke 21:24, Matt 24:15) was taken before a Christian Armenian rifle regiment in Tabriz, Iran, and roped by the wrists for execution, along with a young believer who had asked to die with Him. Known as The Bab (The Gate), He had begun His earthly Ministry May 23, 1844 and all too soon incurred the wrath of Muslim mullahs and imams, embarrassed by His innate knowledge, his courteous demeanor and authoritative answers about everything religious. When He refused to soften His praise of God or His praise for the Glory of God, the Mahdi soon to manifest Himself, and when He was recognized far and wide in Iran as The Qaim, the Point round Whom all the previous Messengers of God revolve, the mullahs and imams sent The Bab to prison, then had the soles of His feet sc...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Senate makes new try for immigration bill
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Thursday, 21 June 2007
By Gail Russell Chaddock, Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor Thu Jun 21, 4:00 AM ET Washington - Drafted in secret, the once-derailed Senate immigration bill is making a comeback. But because it is being redesigned with unusual restrictions on debate, the legislation is drawing protests from critics. Not only will the resulting bill ignore broad concerns of immigration hard-liners, it may not even pass. "The process has been orchestrated by a handful of people behind closed doors, and they are paying a price for that," says Sen. John Thune (R) of South Dakota. "People are feeling shut out." Un-freaking-believable! They are STILL trying to ram this through the Senate over the vehement objections of the public! It's past time to vote these traitors out of office!...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Keith Oldermann to Mr Bush on Fathers' Day
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Sunday, 17 June 2007
Fathers’ Day Message to President Bush by Keith Oldermann Mr President, can you imagine life without a skin? Have you ever seen a burn victim, with no clear, functioning DISTINCTION between their body and everything NOT their body? Its not a pretty sight, Mr President. A human with no skin is like a nation with no borders, open to every opportunistic infection, every anti-American thug and zealot, every pus-producing filth that wants to saunter in! Even worse, Mr President, pretending that there are NO LIMITS or defining lines on WHAT ISN’T America, destroys any definitions of WHAT IS America. The Constitution MAKES DISTINCTIONS, Mr President. The Constitution is American, for use by and for Americans, those law-abiding, Constitution-obeying humans INSIDE America’s borders legally. By using overt and covert power to hinder the law of the land (ie., by NOT Building a Barr...Write Comment (0 Comments)

Highlights of the Proposed Immigration Bill
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Thursday, 14 June 2007
The bill is 790 pages, so this may take a few posts and a little time. Key provisions of the bill are listed here without regard to how "newsworthy" I may think it is. Everyone has their own opinions in that regard and it's darned hard to find summaries of bills that don't cherry pick the contents. For details, refer to the actual bill. Title 1, Subtitle A: Adds port security personnel, investigators, US Marshalls, border patrol. Adds technological assets to establish a "virtual fence." Repairs existing and adds new border fencing. Title 1, Subtitle B: Provides for the development of a surveillance plan and national strategy for border security [wait - are you telling me we don't already have that???] To improve the security of Mexico's southern border provides technical assistance, law enforcement assistance, and equipment to the countries of Mexico, Guatama...Write Comment (0 Comments)

The Immigration Bill Round-Up
Pings: 1 - Written by Karridine Tuesday, 12 June 2007
I REALLY REALLY wish sometimes that I didn't have a life so I could devote myself full time to blogging, but I do, so I can't. However, in this post I will do my best to provide a good round-up of the current immigration bill. 1) The text of the bill (S.1348) as introduced in the Senate on May 9, 2007. 2) All debate on the bill in the Senate (sometimes it's hard to link properly to the Congressional Record, so kindly let me know if this link doesn't work for you). 3) The Congressional Budget Office's Cost Estimate. 4) Previous ICallBS posts on the bill: Bush: Immigration Snag Only Temporary; Immigration Problem...Solved!; Senate Refuses to Narrow Immigrant Legal Status Plan; Gingrich’s Take on the Immigration Bill; Senators Take Bush to Task for Threatening to Refuse to Enforce the Law. 5) Commentary on the issue. "The documented delusion" By Mark Steyn Kill the ...Write Comment (0 Comments)
