Obama says, in his speech, "We do not need to recite here the history of racial injustice in this country," but then he proceeds to do exactly that. And awaiting listeners at the end of his recital of the long chain of white racial assaults, from slavery to employment discrimination? Why, Jeremiah Wright, of a certainty.
This contextual analysis of Wright's poison, this extention of black hate speech as if it were a product of white racism, isn't new. It's the Jesse Jackson politics of racial grievance, manifest here in Ivy League diction and Harvard Law-School nuance. In observing today's broken, painfully limping electoral system, BuzzSawMonkey notes that:
"That's only part of it.
Are the MSM to blame? Yes, in part--but running hysterically after the "winners" of each contest is what they do.
First: The primary system should be drastically overhauled. There should be four national primaries, each of which contains a mix of Northern and Southern, Eastern and Western, large-population and small-population states. That way none of the early primaries would be dispositive, because they would contain a mix of people from different areas and with different interests.
Second: There should be no crossover voting. Primaries are for the purpose of parties choosing party nominees. No independents, and no members of the other party, should be permitted to muddy the choice of those who have made a commitment to a party and its principles.

I am already quite sick of hearing Democrat candidates say that we have to “improve America’s standing in the world” as if the whole world holds our nation in contempt or disagrees with our actions.
All nations act upon what they believe to be their best interests and those interests are often shaped by their political philosophy. These things are subject to change. For example, there are some 200 sovereign nations in the world. Of these, 120 are multi-party democracies. Compare this with 1970 when there were fewer than 35 nations that were not outright dictatorships or operating under the iron fist of the single party rule of Communism.
One might conclude from this that democracy is catching on around the world and that in this new century most people want some form of representative government for their nation.

In December of 2003, the U.S.-based Home School Legal Defense Association (http://www.hslda.org) released an article entitled “German Homeschoolers Under Attack” which addressed difficulties German families were having with their government in attempting to home school their children.
In 2001, HSLDA helped German homeschoolers start their own legal advocacy group, Schulunterricht zu Hause. In 2003, Schulunterricht zu Hause successfully represented a family who had been charged with flouting German mandatory school attendance laws. This was the first step toward legitimizing homeschooling in Germany.
Unfortunately, as the article stated, due to the jingoistic legal atmosphere in that country, the courts have been able to keep the fight against home schooling alive; some families have actually had to go into hiding.

Thanksgiving Day is over and happy shoppers are out in droves. Millions are in our malls looking for holiday bargains while enjoying the beautiful Christmas decorations. However, they are seemingly oblivious to the potential danger they are putting themselves in while merely shopping.
Once again the old "biased media deployed" seems to be too busy politicizing the war on terror while covering the tush of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. She wants to give drivers licenses to illegal aliens. No, that was last week. She has changed her position. Now she doesn't. This week she is busy mucking up Barack Obama's reputation. How can the media be interested in informing us about Islamic terrorism when they deny its existence?
